Donating a Smart Irrigation System -Bibile Agri Department

Monaragale is one of the low rainfall districts in Sri Lanka. And it’s very hard to find the required water source for irrigation purposes.

As a CSR project, SenzAgro donated a smart irrigation system to the Horticultural Crop Research and Development Institute, Bibile.

The SenzAgro smart irrigation system continuously monitors the soil moisture level, fertility and evaporation rate. This real-time data streaming allows the farmers to make accurate decisions over crops water needs.

More than 15 Agro inspectors and officials from the agriculture department, Bibile participated in the followed training program.

For the first time, conventional farming experts get hands-on experience with advance agri-tech solutions. And surprisingly they adopted agri-technologies to their day to day farming activities.
